
Cardiovascular Technologist
The Cardiovascular Technologist at Saint Francis Health System is a vital part of our team, providing expert care to our patients. This role requires an individual with the knowledge and experience to provide the highest level of care and technical skill. We are looking for a compassionate, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about providing excellent patient care. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of 1 year of cardiovascular imaging experience; and certification as a Cardiac Vascular Technologist (CVT) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). A two-year degree in cardiovascular technology from an accredited school and current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification are also preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of cardiovascular imaging procedures on patients, including echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and vascular studies.
- Document patient information and imaging results in accordance with Saint Francis Health System policies and procedures.
- Utilize a variety of imaging software and diagnostic tools to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.
- Provide detailed and accurate patient care, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain and update patient records according to established protocols.
- Ensure imaging equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
- Participate in continuing education courses to stay up to date on the latest advancements in cardiovascular technology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in order to provide the highest level of care to patients.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards established by the Saint Francis Health System.
Ability To Maintain Patient Confidentiality

Graduate Of An Accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program
Current Certification From Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Cci)
Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology Of The Cardiovascular System
Knowledge Of Cardiac And Vascular Disease Processes
Ability To Operate And Maintain Complex Equipment
Must Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
