Job Description

As a Technical Writer/Editor at SAIC, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with subject matter experts to produce high-quality technical documents and publications.   1. Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical concepts related to projects.
  2. Write, edit, and proofread technical documents and publications to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  3. Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of content.
  4. Develop and maintain templates, style guides, and other resources to ensure consistency in writing and formatting.
  5. Communicate with team members and stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate changes into documents.
  6. Ensure compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and client requirements.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to produce relevant and cutting-edge technical content.
  8. Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  9. Collaborate with graphic designers and other team members to incorporate visual aids into technical documents.
  10. Provide training and guidance to team members on technical writing and editing best practices.
  11. Review and revise existing technical documents and publications to improve clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  12. Maintain a strong understanding of the company's products, services, and target audience.
  13. Attend meetings and presentations to gather information and provide input on technical writing needs.
  14. Ensure all documents and publications are completed on time and within budget.
  15. Adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection policies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Technical Writing, English, Or Communications.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Technical Writing Or Editing, Preferably In A Government Or Defense Industry Setting.

  • Proficiency In Standard Technical Writing Tools And Software, Such As Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, And Style Guides Such As Chicago Manual Of Style Or Ap Stylebook.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Understand Complex Technical Concepts And Translate Them Into Clear And Concise Documentation.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Subject Matter Experts And Other Team Members To Produce High-Quality Technical Documentation.
