- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses for all system components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential safety issues and develop solutions.
- Conduct safety reviews and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in safety engineering.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of safety processes and procedures.
- Utilize analytical skills to identify potential safety hazards and propose mitigation strategies.
- Communicate safety risks and recommendations to project teams and upper management.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Participate in project planning and design to ensure safety considerations are integrated from the beginning.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures and make recommendations for improvements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on systems safety engineering for the company.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their safety requirements and ensure they are met.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior safety engineers.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Engineering, Preferably In Systems Engineering Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Systems Safety Engineering, Preferably Within The Defense Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Safety Principles And Standards, Including Mil-Std-882.
Familiarity With Risk Management Techniques And Tools, Such As Fault Tree Analysis And Hazard Analysis.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Complex Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
