- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization from cyber threats.
- Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure effective execution of security programs.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security gaps and develop mitigation plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to continuously improve the organization's cybersecurity posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
- Manage and maintain security tools and systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption methods.
- Oversee incident response and disaster recovery plans and ensure they are regularly tested and updated.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Communicate with executive leadership and other stakeholders about cybersecurity risks, threats, and mitigation strategies.
- Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Monitor and analyze security logs and reports to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and contractors.
- Develop and manage the cybersecurity budget.
- Act as a subject matter expert and represent the organization in cybersecurity conferences and events.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure cybersecurity policies and procedures are in line with regulatory requirements.
Extensive Knowledge Of Cybersecurity Principles And Practices: A Senior Cybersecurity Manager At Saic Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Cybersecurity Concepts, Tools, And Technologies. This Includes Knowledge Of Network Security, Data Protection, Threat Management, And Incident Response.
Proven Leadership Skills: As A Senior-Level Role, This Position Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Oversee A Team Of Cybersecurity Professionals. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Motivating Teams To Achieve Strategic Cybersecurity Goals.
Experience In Risk Management: Saic's Senior Cybersecurity Manager Should Have Experience In Risk Management And The Ability To Develop And Implement Risk Mitigation Strategies. This Includes Identifying Potential Threats, Assessing Their Impact, And Implementing Controls To Minimize Risk.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: In This Role, The Senior Cybersecurity Manager Will Need To Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders. They Should Also Be Able To Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams To Develop And Implement Cybersecurity Solutions.
Relevant Certifications: Saic May Require Candidates For This Role To Have Relevant Certifications, Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Crisc. These Certifications Demonstrate A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In The Field Of Cybersecurity And Are Highly Valued By Employers.
