  1. Monitor and control air traffic using remote pilot technology at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).
  2. Provide accurate and timely communication to pilots regarding flight instructions, weather conditions, and other important information.
  3. Utilize advanced air traffic control systems and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient flow of air traffic.
  4. Monitor and analyze radar and other data to identify potential conflicts and take appropriate action to maintain safety.
  5. Collaborate with other air traffic control professionals and team members to ensure seamless operations.
  6. Maintain proficiency in air traffic control procedures and stay updated on changes in regulations and technology.
  7. Conduct regular equipment checks and report any malfunctions or issues to superiors.
  8. Follow established protocols for emergency situations and assist in coordinating emergency response efforts.
  9. Maintain accurate records and reports of all air traffic activities.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from pilots and other stakeholders.
  11. Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and suggest innovative solutions to enhance air traffic control operations.
  13. Act as a positive representative of SAIC and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  14. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in remote pilot technology.
  15. Attend training sessions and workshops to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Faa Certified Remote Pilot: The Ideal Candidate Should Hold A Valid Faa Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Skills In The Operation Of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Suas).

  • Experience In Air Traffic Control: The Candidate Should Possess Experience In Air Traffic Control Operations, Either Through Prior Employment Or Through Training Programs. This Will Ensure They Have A Good Understanding Of Airspace Rules And Regulations.

  • Proficiency In Simulation Software: The Remote Pilot Operator Will Be Required To Operate Simulation Software To Mimic Real-World Scenarios. Therefore, Proficiency In Simulation Software Such As Micro Nav Or Adacel Is Essential.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Job Requires The Candidate To Effectively Communicate With Air Traffic Controllers, Pilots, And Other Team Members. Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Crucial For This Role.

  • Ability To Work Remotely: As The Job Title Suggests, The Candidate Should Be Comfortable Working Remotely And Have The Necessary Equipment And Internet Connection To Do So Effectively. This Includes A Dedicated Workspace, A Reliable Computer, And A Stable Internet Connection.
