
Procurement Specialist
At SAIC, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an eye for detail and a passion for driving results. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a professional attitude.To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of two years of experience in procurement and/or contract management. Previous experience in the public sector is a plus. You should also have a comprehensive understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations. You should possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for all products and services in accordance with FAR regulations.
- Negotiate procurement contracts with vendors and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Monitor and assess contract performance and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure all procurement documents and records are maintained in accordance with organizational standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and optimize the procurement process.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all procurement requirements are met.
- Monitor and track all purchases to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
- Resolve any disputes or discrepancies related to the procurement process.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders in the procurement process.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all procurement activities.
