Job Description

SAIC is seeking a driven and talented Software Systems Engineer Associate to join our team in support of NASA's missions and programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with NASA scientists and engineers to design, develop, and test software systems for space missions.   1. Collaborate with NASA scientists and engineers to understand software requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of space exploration missions.
  2. Develop and implement software systems that are reliable, efficient, and scalable for use in space.
  3. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software systems to ensure they meet all performance and functionality requirements.
  4. Continuously monitor and improve the performance of software systems, making necessary updates and adjustments as needed.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in software engineering and space exploration to incorporate new technologies and techniques into software development.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.
  7. Adhere to NASA's strict safety and security protocols for software development and implementation.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that arise during the software development process.
  9. Document all software development processes and procedures to ensure proper maintenance and future updates.
  10. Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and solutions for enhancing software systems and processes.
  11. Continuously strive to improve software quality, efficiency, and reliability through regular testing and feedback.
  12. Maintain a thorough understanding of project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely delivery of software systems.
  13. Conduct regular research and analysis to identify potential areas for improvement in software development processes and make recommendations for implementing changes.

Job Qualifications
  • Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field: A Bachelor's Degree Or Higher In Computer Science, Software Engineering, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Software Systems Engineer Associate Job At Saic. This Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In Programming Languages, Algorithms, And Software Development Principles.
