- Configure and maintain the middleware infrastructure, specifically IBM MQ, to ensure the efficient functioning of our systems.
- Monitor the performance of middleware systems and proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related problems, working closely with other teams as needed.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to support the deployment and integration of new applications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in middleware administration to continuously improve our systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for middleware configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as patching and upgrades, to ensure the security and stability of our middleware systems.
- Work with vendors and other external partners as needed to resolve technical issues or implement new solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on middleware-related activities and issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards.
- Train and mentor junior team members as needed.
- Continuously assess and improve the performance and scalability of our middleware systems.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for middleware systems.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverables, providing regular status updates to project managers and other relevant stakeholders.
Proficiency In Ibm Mq: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Ibm Mq, Including Installation, Configuration, And Administration. They Should Also Have Experience With Troubleshooting And Performance Tuning Of Ibm Mq.
Knowledge Of Middleware Technologies: Along With Ibm Mq, The Candidate Should Have Knowledge And Experience With Other Middleware Technologies Such As Ibm Integration Bus, Ibm Datapower, Or Apache Kafka.
Experience With Scripting: The Candidate Should Have Experience With Scripting Languages Such As Bash, Python, Or Powershell To Automate Tasks And Streamline Processes.
Strong Troubleshooting Skills: A Middleware Administrator Should Have Excellent Troubleshooting Skills To Identify And Resolve Issues In A Timely Manner. They Should Also Have Experience With Monitoring Tools And Techniques To Proactively Identify Potential Problems.
Communication And Collaboration: The Candidate Should Have Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Collaborate With Different Teams, Including Developers, System Administrators, And Business Stakeholders. They Should Also Be Able To Document Processes And Procedures Effectively.
