- Develop and conduct training programs for air traffic control professionals at the MDW facility.
- Mentor and guide trainees in mastering the skills and knowledge required for air traffic control.
- Create and maintain training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and assessments.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure training materials are current and effective.
- Collaborate with other instructors and subject matter experts to continuously improve training programs.
- Communicate effectively with trainees, colleagues, and management to ensure a smooth training process.
- Demonstrate a high level of expertise in air traffic control procedures and techniques.
- Continuously assess and improve training methods to ensure the success of trainees.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of trainee progress and training activities.
- Conduct regular evaluations and provide recommendations for trainee advancement.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and represent SAIC as a leader in the aviation industry.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for all trainees.
- Adapt to changing training needs and adjust training methods accordingly.
- Act as a role model for trainees, demonstrating the highest level of professionalism and adherence to safety protocols.
Certified Professional Controller (Cpc) Certification From The Federal Aviation Administration (Faa).
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Mentor Junior Air Traffic Controllers.
Bachelor's Degree In Air Traffic Control Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As An Air Traffic Controller In A Medium To Large-Sized Airport Or Enroute Control Facility.
Previous Experience As A Certified Air Traffic Control Instructor, Preferably At A Level 2 Or Higher.
