Linux System Administrator

As a Linux System Administrator at SAIC, you will join a highly-skilled team of professionals in administering and maintaining the company’s Linux-based systems. You must also have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.We’re looking for a reliable and experienced professional who is capable of interacting effectively with colleagues and customers, and who is able to work independently and under pressure. Responsibilities:

1. Install, configure, and manage Linux-based systems for SAIC.
2. Develop and maintain scripts to automate processes and tasks.
3. Implement, maintain, and monitor security measures for Linux-based systems.
4. Collaborate with team members to ensure successful deployment of system upgrades and hardware migration.
5. Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis to identify solutions.
6. Monitor system performance and resource utilization, and suggest improvements as needed.
7. Provide technical support to users in resolving issues.
8. Prepare technical documentation and reports for Linux-based systems.
9. Participate in team meetings and project planning sessions.
10. Research and recommend system-related technologies and best practices.
