- Develop and maintain a comprehensive security plan for all SAIC facilities.
- Monitor and control access to SAIC facilities, including issuing and tracking employee access cards.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all government security regulations and company policies.
- Manage the security clearance process for employees, including conducting background checks and processing security clearance paperwork.
- Train employees on security protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security agencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities, including incident reports and security clearance documentation.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements to enhance security measures.
- Serve as the point of contact for all security-related inquiries and concerns from employees, clients, and visitors.
- Manage the key control system and ensure proper distribution and tracking of all keys and access cards.
- Conduct investigations into security breaches or incidents and provide recommendations for remedial action.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare employees for potential security threats.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as HR and IT, to ensure alignment of security protocols and procedures.
- Serve as a role model for security awareness and promote a culture of security throughout the organization.
Knowledge Of Security Regulations And Procedures: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Security Regulations And Procedures, Including But Not Limited To Those Outlined By The National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (Nispom).
Experience With Managing Key Control Systems: As A Facility Security Officer/Key Control Specialist, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing And Maintaining Key Control Systems Within The Facility. This Requires Experience And Knowledge Of Various Key Control Systems And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills: This Position Involves Significant Administrative Responsibilities, Including Maintaining Records, Preparing Reports, And Communicating With Both Internal And External Stakeholders. A Qualified Candidate Should Possess Strong Organizational And Communication Skills To Effectively Perform These Tasks.
Active Security Clearance: Due To The Sensitive Nature Of The Work Involved, A Candidate For This Position Should Possess An Active Security Clearance And Be Familiar With The Processes And Procedures Involved In Obtaining And Maintaining Clearances.
Attention To Detail And Ability To Handle Confidential Information: As A Facility Security Officer/Key Control Specialist, Attention To Detail Is Critical In Ensuring The Security Of The Facility.
