Database Administrator

At SAIC, we are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and performance of our relational database systems. The successful candidate will be an efficient and organized problem solver with a keen eye for detail.To be successful in this position, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, as well as a minimum of five years of experience as a Database Administrator. You must have a thorough knowledge of database architectures, including relational databases, and be able to design and update databases and related applications. Additionally, excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential as you will be working closely with other members of the IT team. Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain relational database systems for SAIC.
2. Monitor and optimize database performance and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
3. Develop and maintain database applications.
4. Ensure data security and integrity.
5. Backup and restore databases as needed.
6. Coordinate with other members of the IT team to ensure efficient implementation of database systems.
7. Stay up-to-date on the latest database technologies.
8. Document all database systems and processes.
