Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director, ESG Controller to join the S&P Global team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our ESG control efforts and ensuring our ESG compliance and reporting standards are met. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and at least 5 years of Accounting or Auditing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a management position. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of ESG and sustainability principles and regulations, and have the ability to effectively communicate complex ESG topics to stakeholders. We are looking for someone with strong organization and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and oversee the ESG control efforts for S&P Global, ensuring ESG compliance and reporting standards are met.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to promote ESG sustainability and achieve organizational goals.
  3. Monitor ESG performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  4. Evaluate potential external ESG partners and assess their compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Manage the ESG budget and resources, ensuring they are used efficiently and effectively.
  6. Research ESG topics and regulations, and develop policies to ensure compliance.
  7. Build relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulators, investors, and other ESG professionals.
  8. Prepare and present ESG reports to executive-level management.
  9. Support the development and execution of ESG initiatives and projects.
  10. Provide guidance and support to the team on ESG matters.

Compensation
