Job Description

At S&P Global, we are looking for an experienced, highly driven, and passionate Associate Director - Application Development to join our team. This role will be a key leader in driving the development and delivery of applications and software solutions to ensure we are able to provide our clients with the best possible user experience. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of strong technical skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a proven track record of successful software development and deployment.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and the ability to lead and manage a team of software developers to ensure that all development and deployment projects are completed on time and within budget. They must have experience working with multiple software development technologies, including Java, .Net, HTML5, and JavaScript, and must be able to develop and maintain software and applications for both web and mobile platforms.The Associate Director – Application Development will be a key leader in driving innovation and finding new ways to improve the user experience. They must have the ability to understand the needs of our clients and develop strategies to ensure that our applications meet their needs. The successful candidate must also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure that our applications are always up to date and meet our clients’ needs.We are looking for an individual with a passion for technology and an enthusiasm for developing solutions that will help our clients achieve their goals. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage a team of software developers to ensure that all development and deployment projects are completed on time and within budget.
  2. Develop and maintain software and applications for both web and mobile platforms.
  3. Understand the needs of our clients and develop strategies to ensure that our applications meet their needs.
  4. Possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure that our applications are always up to date and meet our clients’ needs.
  5. Research new technologies and trends in software development and keep current on industry best practices.
  6. Develop test plans and conduct unit testing to ensure the quality of software applications.
  7. Assist in troubleshooting and debugging applications before and after deployment.
  8. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback and support to other members of the development team.
  9. Monitor application performance and take corrective action when necessary.
  10. Support and maintain existing applications and software solutions.
