Tool Room Machinist
Determining the proper processes and sequence of processes to produce parts per print using equipment provided. Assuming responsibility for the quality of completed assignments. Using ingenuity and problem solving skills to produce, fabricate, and troubleshoot parts and / or assemblies. Working independently while meeting productivity and due date requirements of assignments is a must. Adhering to established safety practices and procedures while performing assignments. Using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, height gages and dial indicators. Possessing an understanding of the properties of mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and bronze and how they are affected by the stresses of machining and forming.
Extensive CNC turning and milling experience in order to produce close tolerance / high precision parts per drawings provided.
The ability to use Mazatrol and other conversational controls to create programs
The ability to read and understand complex blueprints and piece part drawings including GD&T.
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a precision machinist
