- Develop and implement programs and activities that support the personal, social, and academic growth of youth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages youth to reach their full potential.
- Build and maintain relationships with youth and their families to better understand their needs and provide appropriate support.
- Collaborate with other staff and community partners to create a comprehensive support system for youth.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to youth, helping them to develop critical life skills and positive behaviors.
- Create and maintain a safe and secure environment for youth, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Act as a positive role model for youth, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and compassion in all interactions.
- Actively engage and communicate with youth, families, and community members to promote the program and its impact.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in youth development, and incorporate them into program planning and implementation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate events, workshops, and other activities for youth.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of youth participation and progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in working with youth.
- Comply with all policies and regulations set by Rutgers University and relevant state and federal laws.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the program to ensure the best possible outcomes for youth.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Education, Social Work, Or Psychology
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Youth In A Professional Or Volunteer Capacity
Knowledge Of Youth Development Principles And Best Practices
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Build Relationships With Youth, Families, And Community Partners
Experience Developing And Implementing Programs And Activities For Diverse Groups Of Youth.
