  5. Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements to continuously improve computing systems.
  6. Implement security measures to protect the unit's computing systems and data.
  7. Train and educate faculty, staff, and students on proper use of computing systems and software.
  8. Manage and maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
  9. Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and resolving any issues.
  10. Develop and maintain documentation related to computing systems and processes.
  11. Participate in planning and implementing new technology initiatives.
  12. Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  13. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  14. Adhere to university policies and procedures related to computing systems.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of computing systems.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Computer Science Is Essential For A Unit Computing Specialist At Rutgers University. This Degree Will Provide The Necessary Technical Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.

  • Proficiency In Multiple Programming Languages: The Unit Computing Specialist Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, And C++. This Is Important For Developing And Maintaining Software Applications Used By The University.
