
Theatre, Gallery and Event Staff (Part Time)

- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of theatre productions, art exhibitions, and events at Rutgers University.
- Work closely with the theatre, gallery, and event directors to ensure all productions and events run smoothly.
- Set up and break down of event spaces, including seating, lighting, and audio/visual equipment.
- Greet and assist guests at events, providing excellent customer service and answering any questions or concerns.
- Manage ticket sales and reservations for theatre productions and events.
- Promote events and productions through various marketing and outreach efforts.
- Assist with artist and performer relations, including scheduling and coordinating rehearsals and performances.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of event and performance spaces.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure all departments are working together efficiently.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the university at events.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably Within A University Or Cultural Institution Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Groups Of People.
Knowledge Of Theatre And/Or Gallery Operations And Procedures, Including Ticket Sales, Event Set-Up, And Customer Service.
Availability To Work Flexible Hours, Including Evenings And Weekends, To Support Events And Performances.
Familiarity With Rutgers University And Its Cultural Offerings, As Well As A Passion For The Arts And Events.
