We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Student Counselor to join our team and provide support for our students' mental health and well-being. As a Student Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students by providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and educational workshops. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about helping students thrive and has the necessary qualifications to succeed in this role.   1. Provide individual and group counseling to students in order to support their mental health and well-being.
  2. Conduct crisis intervention when necessary to assist students in managing and coping with difficult situations.
  3. Develop and facilitate educational workshops to promote mental health awareness and provide students with coping skills.
  4. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when working with students.
  5. Collaborate with other campus resources, such as health services and academic advisors, to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  6. Create and implement personalized treatment plans for students based on their individual needs and goals.
  7. Regularly assess and monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  8. Serve as a source of support and guidance for students, helping them navigate challenges and reach their full potential.
  9. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of counseling sessions and maintain confidentiality in accordance with university policies.
  10. Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in student counseling and mental health support.
  11. Actively contribute to a positive and inclusive campus culture that values diversity and promotes overall student well-being.
  12. Collaborate with other counselors and staff to develop and implement strategies for promoting mental health and well-being on campus.
  13. Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for students seeking counseling services.
  14. Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to student counseling services.
  15. Communicate effectively and professionally with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students' mental health and well-being.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Counseling Or Mental Health Services.

  • Knowledge Of And Experience With Diverse Student Populations And Issues Commonly Faced By College Students.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport And Trust With Students.

  • Must Be Licensed Or Eligible For Licensure As A Counselor Or Therapist In The State Of New Jersey.
