- Assist in the daily operations of the farm, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Participate in research projects and trials, recording and reporting data accurately.
- Maintain farm equipment and tools, reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Monitor crop health and report any signs of pests or diseases to supervisors.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving farm processes and techniques.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Rutgers University.
- Follow all organic and sustainable farming practices.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Adhere to the schedule and complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Continuously learn and improve agricultural skills through on-the-job training and educational opportunities.
- Assist with farm events and outreach programs to promote the agricultural community at Rutgers.

Experience In Agricultural Work: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Farm Or Agricultural Setting, With Knowledge Of Planting, Harvesting, And Maintaining Crops.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Job Requires Working Outside In Various Weather Conditions And Performing Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Lifting, Bending, And Standing For Extended Periods Of Time.
Ability To Follow Instructions: Seasonal Agricultural Workers Must Be Able To Follow Instructions Carefully To Ensure Crops Are Planted And Harvested Correctly And Efficiently.
Attention To Detail: From Measuring Out Seeds To Examining Crops For Signs Of Disease, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In This Role To Ensure The Success Of The Farm's Operations.
Availability And Flexibility: Seasonal Agricultural Work Often Involves Long Hours And Weekend Shifts, So Candidates Should Be Available And Willing To Work A Flexible Schedule As Needed. This May Also Include Working On Holidays And During Peak Farming Seasons.
