
Part Time Course Assistant (Project Mentoring)

- Develop and implement strategies to support students in reaching their academic potential.
- Provide project management support to students in the Project Mentoring program.
- Mentor and guide students in setting and achieving academic goals.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their project work.
- Facilitate group discussions and individual meetings to address specific project challenges.
- Assist students in identifying and utilizing appropriate resources to enhance their project work.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to program coordinators.
- Stay up-to-date on current academic trends and strategies to best support student success.
- Collaborate with fellow Course Assistants to share best practices and support each other's efforts.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures in regards to student confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Attend regular meetings and trainings to enhance knowledge and skills related to mentoring and project management.
- Serve as a positive role model for students and promote a growth mindset.
- Contribute to the overall success and development of the Project Mentoring program at Rutgers University.
Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Education, Counseling, Or Project Management.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Project Management Or Mentoring In A Professional Or Educational Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Groups Of Students And Faculty.
Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, Able To Effectively Manage Multiple Tasks And Deadlines.
Familiarity With Rutgers University Policies And Procedures, As Well As A Commitment To Promoting A Positive Learning Environment For All Students.
