Welcome to the Department of Filmmaking at Rutgers University! We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a member of the faculty for our Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking program. - Deliver high-quality instruction and mentorship to students in the Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking program.
- Develop and teach courses related to film theory, history, and production techniques.
- Advise and guide students in their creative pursuits and assist them in developing their artistic vision.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes interdisciplinary approaches to filmmaking.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in film technology to provide students with relevant and cutting-edge knowledge.
- Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Serve on committees and participate in departmental meetings to contribute to the growth and development of the program.
- Engage in scholarly and creative activities, such as research, writing, and filmmaking projects, to enhance the academic and artistic reputation of the department.
- Participate in recruitment and retention efforts to attract a diverse and talented pool of students.
- Represent the department and the university at conferences, film festivals, and other events.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and industry professionals to create opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience and exposure in the film industry.
- Adhere to university policies and procedures and maintain a professional and ethical work environment.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Film, Media Studies, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Film Production, Including Experience With Directing, Writing, And/Or Editing.
Strong Knowledge Of Industry-Standard Film Equipment And Software, Such As Adobe Creative Suite And Final Cut Pro.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
Proven Record Of Successful Film Projects And/Or Publications, Demonstrating Creativity And Technical Proficiency.
