- Provide direct mental health services to students at Rutgers University, including counseling, crisis intervention, and referral services.
- Conduct thorough assessments of students' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of students' progress and treatment plans in compliance with university policies and legal regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the mental health field, and incorporate this knowledge into treatment approaches.
- Develop and implement educational programs and workshops to promote mental wellness and destigmatize mental health concerns among students.
- Provide consultation and support to faculty and staff on how to support students with mental health concerns in the academic setting.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Actively participate in outreach and prevention activities to raise awareness of mental health resources and services available at the university.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity in working with students from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ability.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice in all interactions with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with community resources and organizations to provide students with additional support and referrals as needed.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for mental health and wellness on campus.

Master's Degree In Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Mental Health Setting, Preferably In A University Or College Setting.
Licensure Or Certification In A Mental Health Field (E.g. Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Etc.).
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices And Interventions For Various Mental Health Concerns.
Experience Providing Crisis Intervention And Management, As Well As Working With Diverse Populations And Identities.
