  1. Provide direct mental health services to students at Rutgers University, including counseling, crisis intervention, and referral services.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of students' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based interventions.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for students.
  4. Maintain accurate and confidential records of students' progress and treatment plans in compliance with university policies and legal regulations.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the mental health field, and incorporate this knowledge into treatment approaches.
  6. Develop and implement educational programs and workshops to promote mental wellness and destigmatize mental health concerns among students.
  7. Provide consultation and support to faculty and staff on how to support students with mental health concerns in the academic setting.
  8. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  9. Actively participate in outreach and prevention activities to raise awareness of mental health resources and services available at the university.
  10. Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity in working with students from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ability.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice in all interactions with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  13. Collaborate with community resources and organizations to provide students with additional support and referrals as needed.
  14. Serve as a role model and advocate for mental health and wellness on campus.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of Rutgers University and contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive community for students.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Mental Health Setting, Preferably In A University Or College Setting.

  • Licensure Or Certification In A Mental Health Field (E.g. Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Etc.).

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices And Interventions For Various Mental Health Concerns.

  • Experience Providing Crisis Intervention And Management, As Well As Working With Diverse Populations And Identities.
