Laboratory/Technical Assistant Seasonal

1. Facilitate and oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and used in accordance with safety protocols.
2. Conduct routine laboratory tasks, such as preparing and sterilizing equipment, collecting and organizing samples, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
3. Assist researchers and faculty members in setting up and conducting experiments, including data collection and analysis.
4. Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure timely completion of research projects and provide support as needed.
5. Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities, including data entry and organization, to ensure compliance with research protocols and standards.
6. Monitor laboratory supply levels and assist with ordering and restocking as needed.
7. Help to train and supervise new laboratory assistants and interns, ensuring that they are following proper procedures and protocols.
8. Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise in the laboratory and communicate any problems to the appropriate personnel.
9. Keep up-to-date with advancements in laboratory techniques and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to enhance research processes.
10. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to safety regulations and protocols at all times.
11. Serve as a point of contact for students and faculty members seeking assistance with laboratory equipment and procedures.
12. Contribute to the overall success of the laboratory by actively participating in team meetings, sharing ideas, and suggesting improvements.
