- Conduct regular audits and assessments of research activities to identify and address potential compliance issues.
- Provide guidance and training to faculty, staff, and students on ethical and compliant research practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external regulatory agencies and oversee any investigations or inquiries related to research compliance.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders across the university to promote a culture of ethical and responsible research conduct.
- Stay up-to-date on changes and updates to relevant regulations and communicate any necessary changes to the university community.
- Work closely with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure that all research involving human subjects is conducted in accordance with ethical principles and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to research compliance activities and provide regular reports to university leadership.
- Serve as a resource for researchers to address any questions or concerns related to research compliance.
- Continuously assess and improve the university's research compliance program to align with best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other compliance officers within the university to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to compliance.
- Act as a liaison with external organizations and professional associations to stay informed of emerging trends and best practices in research compliance.
- Respond to any reported research compliance issues in a timely and effective manner, conducting investigations as needed and implementing corrective actions.
- Foster a culture of integrity and ethical conduct within the research community at Rutgers University.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Law, Business, Or Healthcare Administration.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Research Compliance, Including Irb, Hipaa, And Fcpa.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Compliance, Preferably In A Research Or Higher Education Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Research Processes And Procedures, Including Data Management, Human Subjects Protection, And Conflict Of Interest.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Faculty, Staff, And External Stakeholders.
