
HR/Payroll Shared Service Specialist

- Process and maintain accurate and timely payroll and human resources transactions for all employees at Rutgers University.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to payroll and human resources.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees with questions or concerns related to payroll and human resources.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather and verify data for payroll processing.
- Maintain detailed records of employee information, including tax withholdings, deductions, and benefits.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies in payroll and human resources data.
- Work closely with the HR team to onboard new employees and process all necessary paperwork.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including year-end reports and W-2 forms.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll and HR laws and regulations and make necessary adjustments to processes and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all employees and promptly address any payroll or HR-related inquiries or issues.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of new payroll and HR systems.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting of payroll expenses.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and industry trends.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the HR/Payroll Manager.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Hr And Payroll, Preferably In A Shared Service Or Centralized Environment.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Hr And Payroll, Including Fmla, Flsa, And Ada.
Experience With Hris And Payroll Systems, Preferably Workday And Adp.
Strong Communication, Organizational, And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Handle Confidential Information And Maintain Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
