- Perform a variety of expanded duties, such as placing fillings, taking impressions, and applying sealants, under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
- Provide exceptional patient care by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing other necessary support.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control guidelines.
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic.
- Uphold the clinic's commitment to providing high-quality dental services by following all established protocols and standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, and contribute to creating a positive work environment.
Certification As An Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (Edda) From An Accredited Program.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Relevant Work Experience In A Dental Office Or Clinic Setting.
Proficiency In Taking Dental Impressions, Pouring And Trimming Casts, And Fabricating Temporary Crowns.
Knowledge Of Dental Materials And Equipment, And Ability To Maintain Inventory And Order Supplies.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Patient Populations And Communicate With Other Members Of The Dental Team.
