Job Description

Rutgers University is seeking an innovative Counseling Psychologist to join our team and make an impact on the lives of our students. We are looking for a passionate individual with a commitment to providing the highest standard of psychological care, and the ability to connect with students from all backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of counseling psychology, and a proven track record of success in the field.The successful applicant will be well-versed in the use of evidence-based treatments and have the ability to evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders. The Counseling Psychologist will work with a diverse student population and provide individual, couples, and group therapy. This individual will also be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, providing crisis intervention services, and working collaboratively with other mental health professionals. This position requires a minimum of a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology or a related field, as well as a valid license to practice in the state. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently. This individual should also have a strong understanding of multicultural issues in mental health and be able to work with diverse populations.
