1. Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Set up and arrange catering equipment and supplies according to event specifications.
3. Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
4. Communicate with catering team members to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of food.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of equipment and supplies.
6. Assist with event set-up and breakdown, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
7. Provide excellent customer service by anticipating and responding to guest needs.
8. Follow all sanitation and safety regulations while handling food and equipment.
9. Monitor and replenish food and beverage items during events.
10. Communicate any guest feedback or issues to the catering manager.
11. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure all food is prepared and presented according to standards.
12. Follow all company policies and procedures, including dress code and attendance.
13. Continuously improve knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens to better serve guests.
14. Ensure all event spaces are properly set up and cleaned after each event.
15. Assist with inventory and restocking of supplies as needed.
16. Work as a team with other catering staff to ensure a successful event.
17. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing Rutgers University Dining Services in a positive light.
