  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of data coding and quality control processes within the university.
  2. Develop and implement coding standards and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
  3. Train and mentor team members on proper coding techniques and data quality practices.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure data is accurately captured and utilized for decision-making.
  5. Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and potential issues, and take corrective action as needed.
  6. Work closely with IT teams to develop and maintain coding systems and databases.
  7. Act as a point of contact for any coding or data quality related inquiries or issues.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in coding and data management.
  9. Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to improve data processes and systems.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing reports and recommendations based on data analysis.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.

  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Credential.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Coding Experience In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Icd-10-Cm And Cpt Coding Guidelines And Principles.

  • Experience With Data Analysis And Quality Improvement Initiatives.
