  1. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the library's role in supporting the academic mission of the university.
  2. Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to identify and acquire resources that support their curriculum and research needs.
  3. Oversee the management and development of the library's physical and digital collections, ensuring they are diverse, relevant, and accessible to all users.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of librarians and support staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  5. Develop and deliver effective library instruction and information literacy programs to support the research and learning needs of students and faculty.
  6. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in librarianship and integrate them into library services and operations.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to expand access to resources and services.
  8. Develop and manage the library's budget, ensuring responsible and effective allocation of resources.
  9. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of library services and operations.
  10. Participate in university committees and initiatives related to information literacy, research, and technology.
  11. Provide reference and research assistance to library users and promote the use of library resources and services.
  12. Contribute to the scholarly community through research, publications, and presentations.
  13. Ensure compliance with copyright laws and ethical standards in all library activities.
  14. Collaborate with other university departments to promote and support interdisciplinary research and learning.
  15. Act as a representative of the library and university at professional conferences and events.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Library Science Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working In An Academic Library Setting, With Demonstrated Leadership And Management Skills.

  • Knowledge And Experience With Current Library Technologies And Systems, Including Integrated Library Systems And Digital Repositories.

  • Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Innovative Library Programs And Services That Support The Needs Of Diverse User Populations.

  • Demonstrated Commitment To Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion In Library Collections, Services, And Initiatives.
