  1. Develop and implement strategies, policies, and programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the university's workforce.
  2. Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and campus leaders to ensure a consistent and fair approach to human resources practices.
  4. Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on employee-related issues and concerns.
  5. Stay up-to-date on local and federal labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  6. Manage the university's compensation and benefits programs, including evaluating and recommending changes or improvements.
  7. Create and maintain an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees, regardless of their background or identity.
  8. Develop and facilitate training programs on topics such as diversity, harassment prevention, and leadership development.
  9. Act as a resource and advocate for employees, addressing any concerns or complaints in a timely and appropriate manner.
  10. Conduct regular reviews and assessments of HR processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement or streamlining.
  11. Collaborate with the university's DEI office to integrate diversity and inclusion initiatives into HR practices and programs.
  12. Serve as a liaison between HR and other departments, as well as external stakeholders such as government agencies and community organizations.
  13. Participate in the development and management of the HR budget.
  14. Supervise and provide support to HR staff, including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and promoting professional development.
  15. Represent the university at conferences, seminars, and other professional development opportunities related to human resources.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Human Resources Management, Preferably At A Higher Education Institution Such As Rutgers University.

  • A Master's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Proven Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Hr Professionals.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws And Regulations, As Well As Experience Developing And Implementing Hr Policies And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders And Build Strong Relationships Throughout The University Community.
