  1. Oversee the maintenance and operation of all security systems on campus, including but not limited to surveillance cameras, access control systems, and emergency response systems.
  2. Monitor and analyze security data to identify potential risk areas and develop strategies to address them.
  3. Collaborate with campus security staff to ensure proper implementation and utilization of security systems.
  4. Lead and train security personnel on the operation and troubleshooting of security systems.
  5. Conduct regular audits and inspections of security systems to ensure they are functioning properly and in compliance with university policies.
  6. Keep up-to-date with advancements in security technology and recommend updates and upgrades to existing systems as needed.
  7. Manage the budget and procurement process for security systems and equipment.
  8. Serve as the point of contact for any security system issues or emergencies and coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve them.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external security system vendors and contractors.
  10. Collaborate with other university departments, such as IT and facilities, to ensure seamless integration of security systems with other campus infrastructure.
  11. Stay informed on federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to security systems and ensure compliance.
  12. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status and effectiveness of security systems.
  13. Foster a culture of safety and security on campus by promoting and enforcing security protocols and procedures.
  14. Participate in emergency response and crisis management planning and training.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive security information.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Security Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Security Management Or A Related Field.

  • Working Knowledge Of Security Systems, Including Access Control, Cctv, And Alarm Systems.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Supervise And Train Security Staff.

  • Familiarity With Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Security And Safety On A University Campus.
