  1. Develop and lead engaging and innovative arts curriculum for the Summer Arts Institute at the Rutgers Center for the Arts.
  2. Inspire and motivate students to explore and develop their artistic talents and skills.
  3. Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities.
  4. Collaborate with fellow instructors to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive program.
  5. Provide individualized attention and feedback to students to help them reach their full potential.
  6. Emphasize the importance of creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression in the arts.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in the arts industry to incorporate into instruction.
  8. Communicate regularly with students and their families to provide updates and address any concerns.
  9. Adhere to the program's schedule and policies, ensuring a smooth and organized experience for all participants.
  10. Serve as a positive and enthusiastic ambassador for the Rutgers Center for the Arts and the Summer Arts Institute.
  11. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all interactions with students, colleagues, and staff.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve the program to meet the needs and expectations of students and the community.
  13. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field.
  14. Represent the RCA and the Summer Arts Institute at events and conferences to promote the program and recruit talented instructors and students.
  15. Help foster a sense of community and artistic collaboration among students, instructors, and staff.
  16. Embody and promote the values and mission of the RCA and the Summer Arts Institute in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Fine Arts, Art Education, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Teaching Experience At The Secondary Or College Level.

  • Demonstrated Expertise In A Specific Arts Discipline, Such As Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Etc.

  • Familiarity With Current Trends And Techniques In Arts Education, Including Digital Media And Technology.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Inspire Students Of Diverse Backgrounds And Skill Levels.
