  1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry standards and regulations related to financial reporting.
  2. Provide expert guidance and solutions to clients on complex technical accounting issues.
  3. Lead and manage a team of consultants to deliver high-quality services to clients.
  4. Conduct research and analysis on emerging accounting issues and develop recommendations for clients.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services to clients.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  7. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in client engagements.
  8. Prepare and deliver presentations and training sessions to clients and internal teams on technical accounting topics.
  9. Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of best practices in technical accounting.
  10. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical accounting skills and knowledge.
  11. Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  12. Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, regulators, and standard-setting bodies.
  13. Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and maintain high standards of work.
  14. Identify opportunities for business development and assist in proposal writing and client presentations.
  15. Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and other industry events.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Technical Accounting Knowledge: The Director Of Technical Accounting Consulting At Rsm Us Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Complex Accounting Principles And Regulations, Including Us Gaap, Sec Reporting Requirements, And International Financial Reporting Standards (Ifrs).

  • Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Consultants And Managing Multiple Client Projects Simultaneously. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing Teams And Delivering High-Quality Results Within Tight Timelines.

  • Experience In Financial Reporting And Analysis: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Financial Reporting And Analysis, Including Experience Preparing And Reviewing Financial Statements, Performing Technical Accounting Research, And Analyzing Financial Data To Identify Trends And Potential Issues.

  • Excellent Communication And Client Service Skills: The Director Of Technical Accounting Consulting Will Be The Main Point Of Contact For Clients And Should Have Exceptional Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Complex Accounting Concepts And Build Strong Relationships With Clients.

  • Relevant Professional Certifications: A Cpa Or Other Relevant Professional Certification Is Highly Preferred For This Role, Demonstrating The Candidate's Technical Expertise And Commitment To Continuing Education And Professional Development In The Field Of Accounting.
