In this role, you will provide technical accounting expertise to our clients, helping them navigate complex financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.   1. Provide technical accounting expertise to clients to help them navigate complex financial reporting requirements.
  2. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in accounting standards.
  3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management.
  5. Analyze and interpret financial data to identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored solutions.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive accounting solutions.
  8. Identify ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency in financial reporting.
  9. Conduct thorough research and analysis to support accounting decisions and recommendations.
  10. Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues related to technical accounting.
  11. Train and mentor junior team members on technical accounting matters.
  12. Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality of client information.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Accounting Principles Is Essential For A Technical Accounting Consultant Role, And A Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or A Related Field Is Typically A Minimum Requirement.

  • Cpa Certification: Many Technical Accounting Consultant Positions Require Candidates To Be Certified Public Accountants (Cpas). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Accounting.

  • Experience In Technical Accounting: Candidates Should Have A Strong Background In Technical Accounting, Including Experience With Complex Accounting Standards Such As Asc 606, Asc 842, And Asc 815. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Previous Roles In Public Accounting Or In A Corporate Accounting Department.

  • Knowledge Of Us Gaap And Ifrs: Technical Accounting Consultants Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Both Us Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And International Financial Reporting Standards (Ifrs). This Knowledge Is Necessary To Assist Clients With Complex Accounting Issues And Ensure Compliance With Reporting Standards.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Technical Accounting Consultants Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Financial Data And Identify Potential Issues Or Errors. They Should Also Be Able To Develop Creative Solutions To Resolve These Issues And Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting. Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
