Job Description

If so, RSM US is looking for you to join our team as a State and Local Tax Intern.   1. Assist with tax research and analysis: Conduct research on state and local tax regulations and assist with analyzing their impact on client projects.
  2. Participate in client projects: Work alongside experienced professionals to support client projects related to state and local tax compliance, planning, and advisory services.
  3. Prepare tax returns and forms: Assist with preparing state and local tax returns and forms for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  4. Communicate with clients: Maintain regular communication with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates, and address any questions or concerns.
  5. Collaborate with team members: Work collaboratively with team members to share knowledge and ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  6. Attend training and development sessions: Participate in training and development sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to state and local tax regulations and processes.
  7. Maintain documentation: Keep accurate and organized records of work performed and document any findings or recommendations.
  8. Stay updated on tax laws and regulations: Stay current on changes in state and local tax laws and regulations and how they may impact clients' tax obligations.
  9. Identify opportunities for process improvements: Proactively identify and recommend opportunities to improve tax processes and increase efficiency.
  10. Uphold company values: Adhere to the company's values of integrity, teamwork, and client service excellence in all tasks and interactions.
