We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the SEC Professional Practice Office Partner. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our public company audit engagements.   1. Lead and oversee the SEC Professional Practice Office team, ensuring all members are up-to-date on SEC and PCAOB regulations and standards.
  2. Provide guidance and support to audit engagement teams on complex technical accounting and reporting issues related to SEC regulations.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SEC and PCAOB requirements.
  4. Conduct regular trainings and workshops to educate staff on changes to SEC regulations and best practices.
  5. Serve as a technical resource for partners and staff, providing insights and recommendations on complex accounting and reporting matters.
  6. Stay informed on industry trends and developments related to SEC regulations and communicate potential impacts to the firm and clients.
  7. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for improving the quality and efficiency of public company audit engagements.
  8. Participate in the recruiting and onboarding process for new team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  9. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the SEC Professional Practice Office team.
  10. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and acting as a trusted advisor on SEC matters.
  11. Represent the firm at relevant industry events and conferences to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation.
  12. Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues related to public company audit engagements.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the firm to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to client service.
  14. Monitor and track key performance indicators and metrics for the SEC Professional Practice Office, making adjustments and improvements as needed.
  15. Act as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, upholding the values and standards of the firm.

Job Qualifications
  • Cpa License: A Sec Professional Practice Office Partner At Rsm Us Should Possess A Valid Cpa License, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Expertise In Auditing And Accounting Principles.

  • Sec Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Extensive Experience In Working With Sec Clients And Be Well-Versed With Sec Reporting And Compliance Requirements.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Partner, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Manage And Mentor A Team Of Professionals, As Well As Effectively Communicate With Clients And Firm Leadership.

  • Technical Knowledge: The Sec Professional Practice Office Partner Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Accounting And Auditing Standards, As Well As The Ability To Stay Up-To-Date With Any Changes Or Updates In The Industry.
