- Lead a team of audit professionals in the Business Professional Services department.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and meeting their specific needs.
- Drive business results by effectively managing resources, budgets, and timelines.
- Develop and implement audit plans, procedures, and strategies to effectively assess and mitigate risk.
- Monitor and review audit work to ensure quality and adherence to professional standards.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Stay up-to-date with industry changes, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the audit process.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to enhance overall organizational performance.
- Represent the company and its values in a professional manner at all times.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For An Audit Manager Position. A Master's Degree In Accounting Or Business Administration May Also Be Preferred.
Professional Certifications: Applicants Should Hold A Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Certification Or Have A Commitment To Obtaining One Within A Specified Timeframe. Additional Certifications Such As Certified Internal Auditor (Cia) Or Certified Information Systems Auditor (Cisa) May Also Be Beneficial.
Experience: A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Public Accounting Or Internal Audit Is Typically Required For An Audit Manager Position. Previous Experience In A Managerial Role And A Strong Understanding Of Audit Methodologies And Procedures Is Also Preferred.
Industry Knowledge: A Solid Understanding Of The Business Professional Services Industry, Including Regulations And Compliance Standards, Is Essential For An Audit Manager. Experience Working With Clients In This Industry And A Knowledge Of Industry-Specific Software And Tools Is Also Desirable.
Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Managerial Position, The Audit Manager Must Possess Strong Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team. They Should Also Have Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills, Attention To Detail, And The Ability To Work Efficiently Under Pressure.
