Job Description

Welcome aboard! Royal Caribbean Cruises is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth Program Coordinator. We are looking for a driven and creative individual who is committed to providing a fun and safe environment for our young passengers. As a Youth Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to create and implement engaging activities and programs for children of all ages. If you have a love for working with children and are excited about the opportunity to travel the world while doing so, we want to hear from you!

  1. Plan and coordinate daily activities and programs for children of all ages on board the cruise ship.
  2. Develop and implement creative and engaging activities that are age-appropriate and meet the needs and interests of the young passengers.
  3. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children participating in the youth programs.
  4. Train and supervise a team of youth program staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about safety procedures, program guidelines, and child development.
  5. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children, regardless of their background or abilities.
  6. Communicate with parents and guardians about their child's participation in the youth programs and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  7. Collaborate with other departments on board the ship to plan and coordinate special events and activities for children, such as holiday parties or themed nights.
  8. Maintain an organized and well-stocked inventory of supplies and equipment needed for youth programs.
  9. Keep accurate records of program attendance and evaluations, and make necessary adjustments to activities based on feedback.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in youth programming to continually improve and enhance the programs offered on board.
  11. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols set by the cruise line and ensure all staff and children are following these guidelines.
  12. Uphold and promote the values and mission of Royal Caribbean Cruises while interacting with passengers and representing the company.
  13. Be a positive role model for the children on board, demonstrating professionalism, patience, and a passion for working with young people.
  14. Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the youth programs operate on a 24/7 schedule.
  15. Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle any emergencies or unexpected issues that may arise while working with children.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Youth Development, Education, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working With Youth In A Recreational Or Educational Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Child Development And Ability To Create Age-Appropriate Programming For Different Age Groups.

  • Experience In Planning And Coordinating Events And Activities, As Well As Managing Budgets And Resources.
