  1. Collaborate with Executive Chef to develop and execute menus that showcase the diverse flavors and culinary traditions of the destinations visited by the cruise ship.
  2. Manage and lead a team of cooks and other kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the galley.
  3. Supervise food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet high standards of quality and taste.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary ingredients and supplies.
  5. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills and excel in their roles.
  6. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  7. Adapt to changing menus and dietary restrictions to accommodate guests' needs and preferences.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, such as the dining room and bar, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  9. Stay updated on current culinary trends and techniques, and incorporate them into menu planning and execution.
  10. Maintain cost control measures to meet budgetary requirements and maximize profitability.
  11. Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company and upholding its standards of excellence in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
  12. Participate in onboard events and activities, such as cooking demonstrations and special theme nights, to engage with guests and enhance their overall experience.
  13. Continuously strive for improvement and innovation in all aspects of the culinary operations onboard.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, sanitation, and environmental protection.
  15. Willingness to travel and work for extended periods of time in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Culinary Degree Or Certification: A Sous Chef At Royal Caribbean Cruises Should Have A Degree Or Certification In Culinary Arts From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Cooking Techniques, Food Safety, And Kitchen Management.

  • Previous Experience In A High-Volume Kitchen: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Sous Chef In A High-Volume Kitchen, Such As A Restaurant, Hotel, Or Cruise Ship.
