- Develop and manage a comprehensive shore excursions program for Royal Caribbean guests.
- Ensure all shore excursions are organized, planned, and executed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with local vendors and suppliers to negotiate and secure the best rates and services for excursions.
- Monitor and review guest feedback to continuously improve and enhance the shore excursion offerings.
- Train and supervise a team of shore excursion staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all excursion details, including pricing, availability, and guest participation.
- Create detailed itineraries and communicate all necessary information to guests prior to and during their excursions.
- Monitor and adhere to budget and revenue targets for shore excursions.
- Plan and execute emergency protocols for unexpected situations that may occur during excursions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure Royal Caribbean's shore excursions remain competitive and innovative.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as entertainment and dining, to create unique and integrated shore excursion experiences.
- Maintain strong relationships with port officials and local authorities to ensure smooth operations for shore excursions.
- Uphold and adhere to all safety and security protocols during shore excursions.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Royal Caribbean, promoting the company and its values to guests during excursions.
- Embody a positive and enthusiastic attitude to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests and fellow team members.
Extensive Experience In The Cruise Industry: A Shore Excursions Manager At Royal Caribbean Cruises Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working In The Cruise Industry, Preferably In A Similar Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Cruise Operations, Guest Services, And Shore Excursion Planning.
Strong Leadership Skills: Being A Shore Excursions Manager Requires Managing A Team Of Excursion Staff And Ensuring Smooth And Efficient Operations. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Leading A Team, Delegating Tasks, And Providing Guidance And Support When Needed.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: As The Main Point Of Contact For Guests Regarding Shore Excursions, The Manager Must Have Exceptional Communication Skills To Interact With Guests, Address Any Concerns, And Provide Information About Available Excursions. Strong Customer Service Skills Are Also Essential To Ensure Guest Satisfaction.
Ability To Multitask And Work Under Pressure: The Cruise Industry Is Fast-Paced And Constantly Changing, And The Shore Excursions Manager Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.
