- Oversee all aspects of the shore excursions department, including scheduling, budgeting, and staffing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local tour operators and vendors in various destinations to ensure high-quality and unique excursion options for guests.
- Create and implement a variety of shore excursion packages to cater to different guest interests and budgets.
- Train and manage a team of shore excursion staff to provide excellent customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze guest feedback to continuously improve and enhance shore excursion offerings.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, such as guest services and sales, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote and market shore excursion options to guests.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitive offerings to make strategic decisions for the shore excursions department.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards for all shore excursion activities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to shore excursion operations and finances.
- Handle and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to shore excursions.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for the shore excursion team.
- Participate in onboard events and activities to promote shore excursion options and engage with guests.

Previous Experience In A Similar Role: The Ideal Candidate For A Shore Excursions Manager Job At Royal Caribbean Cruises Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Cruise Industry. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team, Planning And Executing Shore Excursions, And Working With Local Tour Operators.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Shore Excursions Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Shore Excursion Staff. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Inspire A Team, Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Handle Conflicts, Are Essential For This Role.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Guests, Local Tour Operators, And Other Departments Within The Cruise Line. In-Depth Knowledge Of Various Destinations: A Shore Excursions Manager Must Have A Good Understanding Of The Different Ports Of Call And Destinations That The Cruise Line Visits. This Includes Knowledge Of Local Customs, Popular Attractions, And Logistics For Organizing Shore Excursions.
