We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team and help us ensure the safety and well-being of our passengers and crew members. As a Safety Officer at Royal Caribbean Cruises, you will play a vital role in maintaining our commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

  1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with maritime regulations and industry best practices.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of all areas of the cruise ship, including passenger areas, crew quarters, and machinery spaces.
  3. Train and educate crew members on safety protocols and procedures, including emergency response and evacuation plans.
  4. Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, including but not limited to SOLAS, ISM, and ISPS.
  5. Investigate and report any safety incidents or accidents, and provide recommendations for preventive measures.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and operations, to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  7. Conduct regular drills and exercises to test emergency response procedures and ensure readiness in case of a real emergency.
  8. Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities and incidents, and provide regular reports to management.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in safety technology, and make recommendations for their implementation.
  10. Promote a culture of safety and awareness among all crew members, and encourage reporting of any potential safety concerns.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Safety-Related Role, Preferably In The Cruise Industry.

  • Knowledge Of International Maritime Safety Regulations, Such As Solas And Ism Code.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Train And Educate Crew Members On Safety Procedures.

  • Ability To Conduct Risk Assessments And Develop Safety Plans To Mitigate Potential Hazards Onboard The Ship.
