- Create and execute pastry menus for all onboard dining venues, ensuring a diverse and high-quality selection of desserts and baked goods.
- Manage the daily operations of the pastry department, including ordering ingredients, maintaining inventory, and supervising kitchen staff.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation, following all health codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with other chefs and culinary team members to develop new and innovative pastry dishes and incorporate feedback from guests.
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to plan and organize special events and themed dinners.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, and incorporate them into pastry creations.
- Proactively communicate with other departments, such as dining and housekeeping, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to guest feedback and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and control food costs, while maintaining high-quality standards and minimizing waste.
- Ensure all pastry equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and dress code.
- Continuously strive to improve and elevate the onboard dining experience for guests.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Be a team player and support other departments and team members as needed.
