  1. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems onboard the ship.
  2. Monitor and troubleshoot any potential issues with the ship's machinery and equipment.
  3. Oversee the safe operation and maintenance of the ship's engines, boilers, and auxiliary equipment.
  4. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including conducting regular safety drills and inspections.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as navigation and hospitality, to ensure smooth and efficient ship operations.
  6. Manage and train a team of engineering staff to maintain the highest level of performance and efficiency.
  7. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  8. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, as well as inventory levels and spare parts.
  9. Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in marine engineering, and make recommendations for implementing them on the ship.
  10. Respond quickly and effectively to any emergency situations onboard, including fire, flooding, or mechanical failures.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized engineering department, following all safety and environmental protocols.
  12. Communicate regularly with shore-side engineering teams to ensure seamless coordination and support.
  13. Uphold the company's commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences by maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, environmental protection, and ethical business practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Marine Engineering Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Maritime Industry, Preferably On Cruise Ships

  • Proficiency In Technical Skills Such As Ship Design, Propulsion Systems, And Marine Equipment Maintenance

  • Knowledge Of International Maritime Regulations And Safety Protocols

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Decision-Making Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Engineering Issues.
