Welcome aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruises team! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Engineer to join our growing fleet of luxurious cruise ships. As a Marine Engineer at Royal Caribbean Cruises, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most innovative and advanced vessels in the industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ships' propulsion systems, engines, and other mechanical equipment.   1. Maintain and repair all mechanical equipment onboard the cruise ships, including propulsion systems and engines, in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and tests of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose any mechanical issues that may arise during voyages and make necessary repairs.
  4. Collaborate with other engineers and crew members to ensure smooth functioning of all ship systems.
  5. Monitor fuel and oil levels and ensure proper storage and usage to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  6. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including logs and reports, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure the well-being of crew members and passengers.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and new technologies to continuously improve ship operations.
  9. Train and mentor other members of the engineering team as needed.
  10. Communicate effectively with other crew members and superiors to ensure efficient coordination of tasks and responsibilities.
  11. Take part in emergency drills and be prepared to respond quickly and effectively in case of any onboard emergencies.
  12. Maintain a positive attitude and promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration among all crew members.
  13. Represent Royal Caribbean Cruises in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  14. Follow company policies and procedures, including ethical standards, at all times.
  15. Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors to support the overall success of the cruise ship operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Marine Engineering Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Marine Engineering, Preferably In The Cruise Industry.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Marine Machinery And Systems, Including Propulsion, Electrical, And Hvac Systems.

  • Knowledge Of International Maritime Regulations And Safety Standards.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Decision-Making Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
