- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and colleagues regarding IT-related inquiries and issues.
- Monitor and respond to IT service requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with onboard departments to identify and resolve technical issues that may impact guest experience.
- Install and configure hardware and software systems, including onboard equipment and applications.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on technology systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Train and onboard new crew members on technology systems to ensure proper usage and troubleshooting techniques.
- Keep track of IT inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate levels for onboard operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for IT processes and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to make recommendations for onboard systems and processes.
- Provide remote support to other cruise ships in the fleet, as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including data security and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with shore-side IT team to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues.
- Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor while interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols and regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Computer Science Is Necessary For An It Support Specialist Role At Royal Caribbean Cruises. This Degree Will Provide The Necessary Technical Knowledge And Skills To Troubleshoot And Resolve Various It Issues.
Experience In It Support Or Related Field: Previous Experience In It Support Or A Related Field Is Highly Desirable For This Role. It Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle Various Technical Issues And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
