  • Develop and plan menus for all dining venues on board the ship, taking into consideration guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and budgetary constraints
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the ship's dining operations, including food preparation, service, and sanitation
  • Train, mentor, and supervise a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and service
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food and beverage items to maintain consistency and presentation standards
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and inventory, to ensure timely and efficient supply of ingredients and equipment
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs, making adjustments as needed to stay within budget
  • Stay up-to-date on food trends and industry developments, incorporating new ideas and techniques into menu planning and execution
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Respond to guest feedback and complaints, addressing any issues promptly and professionally
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and stay current with industry best practices.
