- Plan and organize a variety of engaging and exciting activities and events for guests of all ages on board our cruise ships.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as entertainment and dining, to ensure seamless execution of activities and events.
- Continuously research and develop new and innovative ideas for activities and events that align with the brand and meet the needs and interests of guests.
- Create detailed schedules and itineraries for each activity and event, considering factors such as timing, location, and necessary resources.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of each activity and event, including set-up, clean-up, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of guests.
- Communicate with guests and address any questions or concerns related to activities and events.
- Monitor and analyze guest feedback to make necessary improvements and adjustments to future activities and events.
- Work closely with the onboard marketing team to promote and advertise activities and events to guests.
- Maintain inventory and budget for all activity and event supplies and equipment.
- Train and supervise a team of activity staff to ensure quality and consistency in execution of activities and events.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while planning and executing activities and events.
- Attend all necessary meetings and training sessions to stay informed about company policies and procedures.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the guest experience and exceed their expectations.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with guests and fellow team members.
- Adhere to all company standards and policies at all times.
Experience In Event Planning And Coordination - The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Planning, Organizing, And Executing Events Or Activities. This Could Include Experience In A Similar Role At A Cruise Line, Hotel, Resort, Or Other Hospitality Industry.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills - As An Activities Coordinator, It Is Important To Be Able To Interact And Communicate Effectively With Guests From Diverse Backgrounds. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Clearly And Enthusiastically About Onboard Activities And Events.
Knowledge Of Leisure And Recreational Activities - The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Passion For Leisure And Recreation And Be Knowledgeable About A Variety Of Activities That Would Appeal To Guests Of All Ages. This Could Include Sports, Games, Arts And Crafts, Fitness Classes, And Other Forms Of Entertainment.
